Health services University Tun Hussein Onn started back in May 2002, when the Student Health Centre was a part of The Students Affair Office. The services then was provided by 2 staff nurses and 6 part-time medical officers. An administrative assistant and a laboratory assistant later joined in June and December 2002 respectively.
2 permanent medical officers joined this health centre in mid-year 2003, and one being appointed as the Head of Students Health Centre. The name of this centre was later changed to The University Health Centre in February 2004 as the services was extended to the staff as well as the students.
To serve its objectives and function efficiently, the University Health Centre is divided into several departments:

- Dental Department
- Imaging (X-ray) Department
- Physiotherapy Department
- Environmental Health Department
- Water Supply Quality Unit
- Safety And Quality of Food Handing Unit
- Health Education Unit
- Public Health Unit
- Communicable Disease Control Unit
- Vector Disease Control Unit
- Administrative Office
The University Health Centre provides outpatient services as well as services to emergency cases during office hour, while only emergency cases will be accepted after hours. Health education service is also provided through series of talk and health campaign. This health centre also provides medical team for student’s outdoor activities and during related activities or functions organized by the university.

To diagnose and to treat disease professionally and efficiently.
To prevent, to detect early and to control infectious disease.
To increase awareness and to provide health information to the community inside and outside the university.
