INTRODUCTION

The University Health Centre offers health services for outpatients and emergency cases during office hours. The after office hour services are for emergency cases only.

It also provides other health support services which include health education (talks and exhibition), and medical treatment during students outdoor activities, or any functions organized by UTHM.

Students seeking medical treatment will be given ordinary treatment and if necessary these students will be referred to the nearest government hospital. Medical certificates will be issued to students after being diagnosed as unfit by the medical officer and only medical certificates which are signed by the medical officer are valid for use in UTHM.

Operating hours:

Monday-Friday 8.00 am-4.30 pm
Saturday 8.00 am-12.30 noon
Sunday, holiday, (on call-emergency only)

Emergency cases:

Accidents or injuries
High Fever
Breathing Difficulties (Asthmatic Attack)
Bleeding
Unconsciousness
Acute stomach - ache
Epileptic attack
Chest pain (heart attack)
Psychiatric problems.
