INTRODUCTION

Information Technology Centre started its operation in December 1994. The Centre is responsible in managing information-communication technology (ICT) related matters for the University including software, hardware and infrastructure management and also future planning for ICT development. The services provided by the centre are not only for the University community, but also for the local community and surrounding schools.

The centre gives excellent services to staff and students. This is achieved through the use of on-line applications that best connect the community.

The University has its internet connection from Jaring and TMNet, both through cables and wireless network. At present, all residential colleges, in and off campus enjoy the network facility, in addition to computer labs which are accessible to all staff and students.

• Providing ICT-based teaching and learning facilities

• Encouraging the use of ICT through courses and trainings
