The establishment of SMC is in line with the university’s BLUE PRINT (2004-2013) to support the R and D.  It is our mission to fulfill the university’s aspiration in enhancing the ICT application globally by conducting research, developing software and multimedia application in the related fields. We also aspire to lead in research and bio- informatics technology development.

The focus of our research includes software engineering, bio-informatics technology, multimedia, information system and grid computerization. For the time being, SMC occupies the rooms at the Faculty of Information Technology and Multimedia and the staff research laboratories. 

We are committed to facing the challenges to intensify our research activities in meeting the university’s aspiration.
