15 UTHM staff who are currently studying in Japan did not miss the opportunity to meet the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato' Dr. Mohd Noh Dalimin at the Embassy of Malaysia in Shibuya Japan recently. Also present were Siti Zaharah Omar and Redhauddin Kamaruzaman from the Embassy of Malaysia, Japan.

The meeting gave both parties the chance to dicuss issues concerning living costs in Japan, staff's mobility, research and many others. Another meeting was also set up for UTHM staff studying in Kyoto.

Profesor Dato' Dr. Mohd Noh was in Japan attending the 6th Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum which was held from 4th to 6th October 2009.  He was accompanied by Dr. Mustaffa Ibrahim, Director of the International Office and Profesor Madya Dr. Ahmad Tarmizi bin Abd. Karim, Director of Development and Property Management Office.   Their visit was also aimed at seeking new opportunities to create international relations and collaborations in education and research with universities in Japan.
