INTRODUCTION

Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (FKEE) in University of Technology Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) was established on 1 Mei 2004. The function of this faculty is to carry out technology and engineering academic programs. Establishment of FKEE is after the restructuring of Faculty of Engineering (FK) and Faculty of Technology Engineering (FTK).

This faculty offers academic program to student at the level of Diploma, Bachelor Degree and Postgraduate Degree. The uniqueness of the program offered by FKEE is that the students are exposed to hands-on training apart from attending theoretical subjects in electrical and electronic engineering. With this advantage, the students will be able to compete and fulfilling requirements in the current job market. Besides that, the students are being guided by academic staffs who are professional in their own respective fields.

 

 

Vision

 

Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering will prepare and offer high quality programs to produce competent engineer that are ready to explore and face future challenges and to achieve excellence at international level.

 

Mission


Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering will ensure that the graduates acquired knowledge and skills that are required by the high quality engineering job and advance engineering research. Also, it will equip the students with wide spectrum of intellectuality to face competitive career path.

Objective of the program offer

 

Objective of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is to:

  1. Conduct academic program in the field of electrical and electronic engineering which is recognized by using holistic curriculum (from the aspect of physical, mental, intellectual, spiritual and emotional) and through learning process that is based on experience.
  2. To prepare service and product that suits the need of the customers.
  3. To promote this faculty as a center of excellence and main reference in the field of electrical engineering and technology.
  4. To carry out research and consultancy in the field of electrical engineering and to generate patents for intellectual property protection.
  5. To practice quality management system with recognized standards
  6. To manage and develop human resource that is sufficient and with quality.
  7. To build and to practice leadership in various levels
  8. To manage and use physical facility effectively in line with the knowledgeable culture.
  9. To effectively use financial budget provided and to generate revenue for the university.
  10. To increase university-industry collaboration that is productive and with smart partnership.
  11. To increase internationalization activity through strategic relation with oversea organization.
Research by the faculty

 

The latest research achievement by FKEE is in the Geneva Exhibition, Switzerland, on April 2006.

2. PRITRAC (Private Tracking System)-Silver award

 

 

Project under Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), MOHE:

 

1. Smart Sensor for Inhaler
2. i-UCTU (intelligent unmanned car to user system) and U-TRAC (Universal Tracking System).
3. Sensor for Animal Pathogen Detection System Using MEMs Technology.
4. Fractal Antenna Design Application.
5. Development of Miniaturized low Pass Filter Using Modified Unfolded Single hairpin-Line Resonator for Microwave Communication Systems.

 

Project funded by Science Fund, MOSTI:

 

1. Development of High Speed Multiple Sensor Weigh in Motion System.
2. Development of A Mode-Stirred Chamber as a Low-cost Facility For Electromagnetic Compatibility Measurement.
3. A 0.35 micron 16 bit Analog to Digital IC Converter for Biomedical Application.
