Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (FKMP) in University of Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) was established on 1 Mei 2004 since the restructuring of Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Technology Engineering. The management of the faculty is leading by a Dean, two (2) Deputy Dean and five (5) department heads.

Leading  the application of science and technology in mechanical and manufacturing engineering towards the benefit of mankind.

To create responsible, competent, creative and innovative professionals in the field of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, through world- class programs.

FKMP consists of five (5) departments, namely,

• Department of Engineering Mechanics
• Department of Plant and Automative Engineering
• Department of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering
• Department of Materials Engineering and Design
• Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology
  

1. Conducting program of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with honors and three programs of Diploma of Engineering/ Engineering Technology every Semester.
2. To produce at least 5% of engineering graduate with average cumulative pointer (CPA) of 3.50 above.
3. Producing qualified academic staff as follows :
• 30% of the academic staff qualifies with PhD by the year 2010.
• 30% of the permanent and contract lecturer has professional recognition from Institute of Engineer Malaysia or equivalent professional council by the year 2010.
4. Submission, presentation and publication of 20 papers (original piece, translation and teaching module)/ paper work in journal/ international conference or local conference or local conference each year annually.

Bachelor Degree Program with Honors
1. Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering – 4years

Postgraduate Program
1. Master in mechanical engineering (By course work).
2. Master in mechanical engineering (by research).
3. Doctor of Philosophy in fields of mechanical engineering by research.
