2.Research Assistant (Sustainable recovery method of valuable and hazardous materials from e-waste through the integration between comminution processes and hydrometallurgical processes
 
Applicant must be good in attitude and highly motivated person. Knowledge and experience in Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) for liquid analysis would be an advantage. On site works with e-waste related parties; governmental agencies,  e-waste collectors,  environmental agencies and so on,  will be conducted. All of these require full commitment from the applicant.

Allowance- RM1,400/month

4.Research Assistant (applied mechanics, mathematical modelling, basic computational programming, and any appropriate background )

PhD and Master Research opportunities at the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, UTHM. Individual that interested in applied mechanics, got passion in mathematical modelling, computational programming (basic knowledge in programming language), and any appropriate background is welcome.

Student will be involved in the development of new and modification of existing constitutive laws to allow for more accurate modelling of structural/material response to impact and shock loading. Student will be expected to lead research and development of simulation tools for automotive and aerospace crashworthiness applications such as hypervelocity impact on spacecraft, bird strike etc. This provides an exciting opportunity for research with leading experts in this field. You will need to conduct related experimental techniques and be familiar with the non-linear finite element method. Attention to detail is vital in the documentation of test results and you will be expected to work closely with the other group/team members.

The programme which combined with a large suite of continuing professional development courses are dedicated to carrying out focused research and applying it to meet the needs of society and industry

Individual with strong interest in hydrology, hydraulic, river flow modeling, sediment transport modeling, flood mitigation works and any appropriate background are welcome. 

Student will be involved in the determination of the impact of climate change on several aspects such as the rainfall distribution pattern, stream discharge variation, sediment yield and several scenarios will be developed and create to predict future patterns. 17. Research Assistant (Based on Green Technology Concept - Development of sensor and electronic control of lighting, air-conditioning and other appliances for energy saving in a building)

 

Master by Research Funding is available in the area of Electronic and Communication Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. The project is supported by the MTUN-COE Grant Scheme. Successful applicant will involve with energy efficient project which will complement the concept by introducing high efficiency lightings, low energy appliances and natural window-roofing lighting to be installed into the Zero-Energy Building. The equipment we have in the laboratory is called Rabbit Module. The module can be used to integrate and control the lighting and air-conditioning.
